A Self-Care Gift Guide Under $100 For Every Season

With Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching, the holiday stress is probably kicking in by now. I enjoy the holidays, but they can get quite overwhelming at times. One part of these festive times that can be stressful is gift shopping. It can be exhausting and frustrating deciding what to get someone and making time to look for gifts. It can be even more daunting if you leave it to the last possible moment. Talk about a holiday headache. No one wants that gift.

In today’s post, I will be sharing some self-care gift ideas that you can get for yourself or your loved ones. I think self-care gifts are the best gifts because you remind someone that they are loved and appreciated.

Gift ideas for the avid reader

A kindle paperwhite is a wonderful option for those who love reading but are always on the go. They can have a library with them wherever they go.

Another option is of course blue light filter glasses. I must say it was a pain going through reviews to find one that seemed okay. I myself need to get a pair. I think this option seems okay. If you have a better option, leave a link in the comments.

If you enjoy reading in bed but the lights disturb your partner and your sleep, then try this rechargeable booklight.

Gift ideas for the person who has trouble sleeping

The world sleep foundation has several tips on their site for promoting quality sleep. An important one is to avoid light disruptions. Light can affect your sleep cycle making it harder to fall and stay asleep. As such a sleep mask can be a wonderful addition to your nighttime habit. The following two masks seem like great options based on reviews.

If you live in a noisy neighbour with barking dogs and lively people or close to the city where you can vehicles passing or just have a snoring partner, then these are for you.

This gift is one for those who love aromatherapy or wants to try aromatherapy. Essential oils have a lot of benefits, including aiding in sleep. This diffuser and essential oil set is a great option for someone looking to dive into the world of aromatherapy.

Gift ideas for the fitness enthuasists

A regular yoga practice has a lot of benefits. It increases your flexibility, mobility, strengthens your body and more. If you are looking for gorgeous and comfy yoga mats, check out these mats by PopFlex.

If you want to intensify your cardio workout while strengthening your muscles, then these weighted ropes might be the perfect gift for you.

If you don't know what gift to get a fitness lover, then send them to Cassey Ho's website: Popflex Active. They can sign up to her rewards program and get $10 off their first order of $30+ and get $10 worth of points for each successful referral to her shop. Sign up with my referral link here. Or you can purchase a $25 or $50 gift card from her store so they can shop at their leisure and find something they love.

Gift ideas for those who need pain relief

This other item is a wonderful way to work out the kinks and relieve tension from the body. Use this High-Density Round Foam Roller after a workout or whenever you need to work out some kinks from your body.

Another option to help relieve pain and provide relief are these acupressure mat and pillow set. Honestly these look so good, I think I’ll be adding this to my own self-care gift basket. Imagine adding this as part of your nighttime routine.

Gift ideas for general self-care

Starting a journal is an awesome way to develop self-awareness and take care of your mental health. If you are looking for a self-care journal with prompts for each day and night, then check out my Self-Care Journal on Amazon. #shamelessselfpromo

This gift option I use myself. It has multiple uses and benefits. You can use it as a face mask, to clean your hair, in a body wrap or to treat insects bites as well.

Taking care of your mental health is something we should do every day. Affirmations are a wonderful daily practice to help you develop a positive mindset. Louise Hay is a motivational author with tons of affirmations. Listening to her affirmations on YouTube helped a lot during my mental health struggles. These daily affirmation cards are a great gift to help those struggling with mental health or just need a daily pick-me-up.

That’s the end of this self-care gift guide. Of course these are just suggestions and items that I want to get myself. Feel free to mix up the gift options and create your own gift basket. A lot of these item can fit in multiple categories. I hope you enjoyed this post and found something you love.

  1. These are wonderful gift suggestions! I need the booklight for myself because it gets so dark so early now & I don’t want to have all the lights on just to read after 4 PM. The oil diffuser sounds nice too & I’ve heard about the healing clay before, but I didn’t know it had so many uses!

    1. Thank you for reading and commenting, Karalee.
Ikr, that booklight is on my Christmas list. It is getting darker earlier and I don’t like reading with all the lights on when I’m unwinding for bed.
Diffusing oils are amazing. You can have a different scent in you home or office every day according to your mood or what you need.
Yep, that clay is very versatile. I actually washed my hair with it this morning. I just made a paste and applied it to my hair and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Gets all that greasiness and product build up out of my locs.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post.

    1. Thanks for reading and commenting. Yes, I love reading so I had to include that in my self-care gift guide. Taking breaks is definitely important for self-care. It is something that I have really dived into recently. Is reading your go-to self-care practice?
