Motivational Monday – If You’re Not Going After Your Dream Then What Are You Doing

Hi, everyone. How’s your Monday so far? I feel tired not because I didn’t get enough sleep because I think I did. But I’m not use to waking up at 5am anymore. It’ll take a while for my body to readjust to an earlier wake up time.

For this Monday morning I thought I’d share some motivational quotes from the book Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success by Steve Harvey. I just started reading it yesterday and it’s going great so far.

Sometimes, son, nothing is going to change until you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.

This statement is so true. Unless you are fed up of the life you are living then you won’t take action to change it.

The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.

What do you think of that one? Are you telling yourself stories, making excuses for why you can’t go after your dream? According to Steve Pressfield, author of The War of Art, the person who denies that they do is usually the one with the biggest excuses.

Surround yourself with native successful speakers, and before you know it, you’ll begin to speak the life of your dreams into existence.

From all the self-development books I’ve read, these two things are a constant. In order to achieve your dreams you have to speak it into existence and surround yourself with people who are positive and uplifting.

I hope these quotes put a pep in your step to go after your dreams. Take one action today towards your goals, no matter how small.

Thank you for reading.
