Reading is a wonderful way to get lost in another world. It can help you relax and calm down since it focuses all your attention on the story unfolding before you. This Valentine’s season, I will be sharing 7 books you can read to get you in the spirit of love.
When I think of romance, this book always comes to mine. The tale is set in early 19th Century and is based in rural England. It follows the lives of The Bennet family which is made up of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet and their five daughters: Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine and Lydia.
This book has been mentioned a lot and seems very popular. I have yet to read it, at least I cannot recall if I have because I read so much romance books they get lost in my brain, but it seems like a splendid read for this Valentine’s season. Have you read this yet?
I cannot have a romance reading list without a Nora Roberts book thrown in there. This was an awesome book and the best part is that it is a quartet. If you haven’t read this or if you have, it is time to read this book.
Creating a reading list on love without providing you with recommendations for self-love, is a no. I am all about personal development and leading your best life and learning to love yourself is crucial for living a fulfilling life and for building healthy relationships with others.
This book is on my reading list for this year and I can not wait to get started. Maybe I will dive into it this weekend. I think we all can use some tips on eliminating or reducing self doubt in our lives. A lot of the time we are the ones sabotaging our own happiness.
I would not class this book in the typical self-love category but it is a profound read, I think so anyway, that offers a new perspective on life. I just read this last week and I am currently reading The Fifth Agreement, which I also recommend, and my mind has been shaken by the concepts. This book is a quick read but the points made can be life-changing. Consider adding this to your reading list.
Originally, I was going to suggest more books but I really do not like recommending books that I have not read myself. Reviews are so mixed because everyone’s opinions are so different that recommendations can be hit or miss. My advice is to please read a sample of any books I or anyone else recommends before purchasing. But for now these are my top suggestions, hope you enjoy.
PS: If anyone reads The Four Agreements and The Fifth Agreement, I would love to have a discussion and hear your thoughts on these books. I will be reviewing these books soon so look out for that.
PPS: I now recalled another book, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman.
I have not read this yet but understanding what your love language is will help you to love yourself correctly and teach others how to love you in return. It is a good idea to understand the different ways people feel loved so that you can be a better partner in any relationship.
