It is finally Christmas and the start of the twelve days of Christmas, which runs from December 25th to January 05th.
I recently read Olivia Lucie Blake‘s Christmas tag post that she got inspired to do from Laurenyloves own tag post and it got me thinking. This would be an awesome post to end Blogmas with. It is a nice round off of questions relating to Christmas.
Is is my first attempt at a tag and at last minute too. Hope you enjoy.
What is your favourite holiday movie?
Like Olivia, Home Alone is my go to Christmas movie. My family and I watch it every year without fail during this festive season.
Do you open Christmas Presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
Once everyone is awake that is the first thing we do as a family on Christmas Day. It is great seeing the excitement and anticipation on my younger siblings face when they received their gifts.
Do you have a favourite holiday memory?
I love waking up on Christmas morning to see the house completely transformed, It feels magical. The air is chilly and the smell of ham and bread filters through the air creating a delicious aroma.
What’s your favourite festive food?
There is so much to like but I enjoy that first taste of ham and bread with my family in the morning and the warmth of hot tea as it washes it down.
Favourite Christmas gift?
I have to say that my favourite gift was a tea cup I received from one of my best friends. The quotes helps to remind of the magic of laughter: “Take time to LAUGH, it is the music of the soul.
Favourite Christmas Scent?
This might be strange but the smell of that first coat of paint when we’re redecorating for Christmas always puts me in the festive mood.
Do you have any Christmas Eve Traditions?
We usually go grocery shopping on Christmas Eve, then when we get home, we bake and complete the final decor to the house. It is a very busy but fun day for us.
What tops your Christmas tree?
A star is what we use on our tree. It is the last thing to go on the tree. I love decorating.
As a kid, what was the one (crazy) gift you always asked for but never received?
Believe or not, I think I asked for a horse once. Lol. I always like the idea of living on a ranch and ride horseback through the land.

The best part of Christmas is spending time with my family and having fun preparing for that day. It’s a very anticipated holiday in our home and we look forward to it each year.
