I am struggling. I see my ideal self, the person I want to be. Yet she seems so far away; she is like a fading dream. An illusion that teases my mind. Beckoning from the distance: come to me.
No matter how hard I push or far I run towards it, I still stand two steps back. It is a constant tug-of-war; a continuous battle.
Maybe I have too much on my plate, stuffing myself with to-do lists and agendas. What I need is balance; to create harmony. Acknowledge that I need a slower pace, quiet moments and time just to be: to be lazy, to binge-watch TV Shows, to have nothing planned.
I must not forget the importance of self-care. Its role in boosting productivity and enhancing the quality of life.
Creating the life you want and becoming the person you want to be are great aspirations. But do not lose yourself and forget the things you value. Remember the reasons you are pushing yourself so hard; the whys behind the goals.
Do not forget one of the greatest goals in life is to love yourself and the person you have worked to become. Embrace every mistake, appreciate every flaw, for they make you who you are.
Wanted to leave this reminder to everyone out there, going after their dream life and seeking personal development. Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, change and adaptations. Listen to your inner voice; it will guide you. Push yourself when you need to. Push the pause button to refuel. Have fun and enjoy the journey that is life. Don’t judge yourself too harshly.

For the foreseeable future, I will post weekly on Sunday mornings. I am back to my regular work schedule and have to make adjustments that will allow me to post quality content. Trying to create harmony in the different areas of my life is a work in progress.
