Fear and Insecurities

This is a brief recap of a podcast I just listened to on my commute home from work.

This post is about the first episode of Aileen Xu podcast: The Lavendaire Lifestyle. Love that name because it reminds me of one my favourite smells, lavender and colour, purple. On a side note I’m following a tip taken from Shea Whitney‘s YouTube channel. In a fairly recent post she spoke about making use of annoying task, for example, commuting by doing something productive which can be found at this link:12 Daily Habits that can actually change your life As a result I have decided to make use of my commuting time to write a blog post.

So here are the key take-aways from this episode as stated by Aileen:

  • Acknowledge that you have gifts
  • Let your fear guide you
  • Don’t overthink it
  • Have no regrets and if you do let it push you to change
  • Don’t use the excuse that your not good enough

I won’t expand further in the hope that these lil insights shall spark your curiosity and inspire you to listen to this episode.

In conjunction to this Aileen mentioned a book she enjoyed: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert which seems to speak more on the topic of overcoming fears and embracing creativity. It sounds like a good read and I hope to get to that in the future.

Thank you for reading.

Enjoy and don’t forgot to Love generously, Inspire daily, Learn constantly.
